Week 8: We are So Back.

Sort of. I'm at least back at my internship, except that I've only gone there this one week in all of November since we have Thanksgiving off. So sort of back.

My workshops are no longer my focus, as it was determined there was not enough time to actually hold them within the semester. This is rather unfortunate news, as I did put a lot of time into them and they were the main focus for this experience for many weeks. However, I am really proud of the work I put in and the connections I've been able to make along the way. Some things don't pan out the way you think they will, and that's okay; it's all part of the experience. Life happens, and people are going to show you kindness and patience that you may not have felt you expected or deserved.

The focus now for the rest of my experience is going to be the new program support document I've been tasked with writing. It's great practice for professional writing, as this could be something I would encounter in an academic setting. I'm also going to continue to work on my CV and application packets as needed, because there are definitely some improvements that I can make to both. Some of the feedback I received was to focus more on the job requirements, and to answer each individual requirement with my experience. I worry as I don't want to get too pedantic, but that could be my personal issue. If this is what's expected in the field, I'm glad to have the knowledge beforehand.

At any rate, I do feel like there's much more for me to learn, and I'm really sad this is going to be ending soon. Though, I will not miss having to pay for parking as an employee.
