Week 10/11: The End?

Hello again! So this is a bit of a final reflection, except not because that is getting turned in to UW.
I was given the option of ending my internship early on December 3rd, with one week left in the CSULB semester. I chose not to do that because of two reasons: I paid for the monthly parking pass (btw, making employees pay for parking is highway robbery) and because I wanted to finish the semester for my own sense of fulfillment. Clearly the former reason is the most important.
In all truth though, I've really enjoyed my time at CSULB. I've missed campus life, and all that it entails. Working with students, answering research questions, and making connections are what this career path is about for me. As I consider the pros and cons of academic versus public librarianship, I'm glad I've had this experience to guide me forward. It's helped me gain a better perspective of what I want from a career and my future.
Plus, working here has also prepped me for my next internship working with the CSU-Dominguez Hills Gerth Archives!
